Black History Month is celebrated during the month of February, honoring the contributions of African Americans in the United States, as well as the outstanding pillars in the Omaha community.
This February, the Department of Black Studies, The Office of Multicultural Affairs, Urban League of Nebraska, American Multicultural Students, and other community organizations, are sponsoring the following events:
- The Gospel Extravaganza, previously scheduled for Feb. 3, has been postponed. Check back for updates on date, time, and location.
- Kick Black | Feb. 10, 6 - 8 P.M. | Multicultural Affairs Office
- Politics in the Black Community (Chris Rodgers) | Feb. 17, 7 - 8 P.M. | Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center
- Open Mic and the Divine 9 | Feb. 22, 6 - 8 P.M. | Thompson Alumni Center
