Focus of Academic Program Review
The goal of academic program review is to support and empower each academic degree program in evaluating its alignment with (1) the institution's mission and goals, (2) assessing academic outcomes, (3) analyzing economic margins, and (4) identifying new opportunities for growth. Program reviews are conducted in collaboration with college leadership, faculty, academic affairs, representatives from the Academic Planning Council (APC), and campus partners. The process empowers programs and departments to showcase the lasting value of their academic offerings through transparent, relevant, and actionable insights.
By leveraging relevant data, the review process empowers department chairs and faculty to engage in meaningful dialogue that informs strategic decisions and actions. The result is a transparent, supportive, and actionable program review process designed to help programs set clear goals and implement effective strategies for long-term success.
Every academic program will be revied regularly and be coordinated with the review reports prepared for the Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education (CCPE).
