About Technical Sergeant Jayde D. Stevens
Technical Sergeant Jayde D. Stevens is AFROTC Det 470 Non‐Commissioned Officer in Charge, Personnel, at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). Sergeant Stevens’ current mission is to ensure the success of Extended Active Duty Cadets by managing ROTC cadet personnel processing actions.
Sergeant Stevens attended Air Force Basic Military training from November 2013 to January 2014 as an Open General Trainee. Upon graduation from BMT, she received her first AFSC as an Air Traffic Control Tower Apprentice, and departed to Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi where she would receive her first assignment to Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
After less than a year in ATC training, SSgt Stevens retrained into Personnel, and returned to Keesler for six weeks of Personnel training. Upon graduation, she returned to Eglin, where she would serve under the 96th Force Support Squadron, in sections such as Assignments, Retentions, Retirements and Separations, and would be awarded a Special Experience Identifier (SEI) as a Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution (DCAPES) operator. During this time, Sergeant Stevens also served as a Commander Support Staff Technician under the 96th Comptroller Squadron, fulfilling duty as an aide to both the Squadron, as well as the Wing Staff Agencies.
Upon the end of her tenure at the Comptroller Squadron, in March of 2019, SSgt Stevens returned to the Military Personnel Flight to work in the Force Management Section as Eglin’s Enlisted Force Distribution Manager. There, she was able to complete her Associates Degree in Human Resources Management at the Community College of the Air Force, as well as Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education.
In what would be her last year at Eglin, Sergeant Stevens deployed to the 387th Air Expeditionary Squadron at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, under a Joint Expeditionary Tasking/Individual Augmentee (JET/IA) billet. There, she provided personnel support to Air Force Central Command’s (CENTCOM) most diverse squadron of over four hundred twenty Airmen from one hundred thirty‐eight different Air Force specialties, serving in thirty‐two operating locations across fourteen countries in support of Operations INHERENT RESOLVE, SPARTAN SHIELD, and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL. She served a total of seven months, extended due to the Coronavirus pandemic. There, she received her current assignment to Omaha, Nebraska, where she is serving as Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadre at UNO.
