To file a protection order, follow the guidelines on the Protection Order Office's website—it provides detailed information on how to file a protection order. An advocate from the Women's Center for Advancement (WCA) is available to help you fill out a protection order at the WCA office or at the court house in the protection order office.
You can call the WCA main line or Protection Order Office to consult with an advocate or plan to meet with them to fill out the protection order.

WCA advocates are people with whom you can talk about your domestic violence/sexual assault situation and ensure that the information is kept confidential. They have the training and knowledge of resources needed to help guide you through the various systems you may encounter, like:
- Criminal justice
- Legal, medical, child protection and safety
- Health and human services
Advocates are first responders for victims of domestic violence/sexual assault at area hospitals and from law enforcement reports. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Receive Medical Attention
Methodist Women's Hospital offers adult and teen victims of sexual assault and/or domestic violence a place to go where they can receive immediate, comprehensive and compassionate care as well as evidence collection from health care professionals specifically trained and educated to meet their unique needs.
The Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), led by specially-trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) work with victim advocates, law enforcement and survivors to treat sexual assault and/or domestic violence 24 hours a day.
