Dr. Barbara Hayhome and David Chesneau Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students in good academic standing as biology majors, molecular & biomedical biology majors, or environmental studies majors (life sciences option). More than one may be awarded each year.
Dr. Merle E. Brooks Academic Achievement Award in Biology and/or Science Education
This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate (junior or senior) or graduate student majoring in a degree program in the Department of Biology or in Biology Education in the Department of Teacher Education in the College of Education at UNO. Candidates desire to pursue a career in the area of plant sciences, limnology (aquatic ecology) and/or teaching biological sciences at the high school level following graduation from UNO.
Bertrand and Marian Othmer Schultz Collegiate Scholarship
A $3,000 scholarship offered through the Nebraska Academy of Sciences to be awarded to a junior or senior pursuing a major in the Natural Sciences.
INBRE Scholarship & Biomedical Research Experience
A $16,500 scholarship and research experience offered to selected undergraduates interested in pursuing further education in biomedical research. ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS NOW THRU 1/23/2023.
Bouteloua Scholarship
A scholarship to support graduate research at Glacier Creek Preserve and T.L. Davis Preserve with priority given to ecological studies directly related to North American grasslands, savannas, and/or associated ecosystems. Applications will be solicited annually by the Biology Graduate Program Chair.
Dr. Steele R. Lunt Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is to support graduate students in the Biology Department with a GPA of at least 3.0. Preference will be given to candidates who must work during the school year to provide for a portion of the cost of their college education from their own resources, and to candidates who are not receiving any other fellowship or scholarship assistance (Students with a graduate teaching assistantship are eligible to apply.)

Rhoden Biological Sciences Fellowship
The Fellowship provides a stipend of about $14,000 to a continuing thesis M.S. graduate student in the Biology Graduate Program at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Continuing biology graduate students pursuing a Master of Science (thesis option) are eligible. Previous Rhoden Fellowship recipients are no longer eligible. Applications will be solicited once per year by the Biology Graduate Program Chair.
