The Sam and Frances Fried Holocaust and Genocide Academy promotes and facilitates the scholarly study of the Holocaust and other genocides. We recognize student achievement that raises awareness of Holocaust and genocide history.
The Sam Fried Memorial Prize is given to the student who completes HIST 4720: The Holocaust and earns the highest grade in the course.
The Frances Fried Award is given to the student who completes HIST 4740: Comparative Genocide and earns the highest grade in the course.
The Holocaust and Genocide Studies Award is given to the student who completes PSCI 4260: International Law and earns the highest grade in the course.
Rules: UNO faculty must contact the Fried Academy indicating the name of the student who received the highest grade in each course. Please submit applications to the following: friedacademy@unomaha.edu
