Graduate Advising for the MA in Critical and Creative Thinking

The faculty of the Master of Arts in Critical and Creative Thinking were very purposeful when creating this program, including its entrance requirements. Many of the entrance requirements necessary for other graduate programs—often perceived as barriers to prospective students—have been removed. Nonetheless, the decision to enter into graduate study and finding the right fit for one’s academic goals is an important one.

Pre-Advising Prior to Applying

The MA in Critical and Creative Thinking program requests that all prospective students hold a pre-advising appointment with either the director or administrative coordinator prior to submitting their application.

This meeting, which can be held over the phone, remotely (via Zoom or Skype), or in person, ensures that the MACCT's program of study and its delivery methods are the best possible fit. Once they have made that determination, students can apply through the Office of Graduate Studies.

Schedule an Appointment

To schedule your pre-advising appointment, you may contact the MA in Critical and Creative Thinking Program College of Arts and Sciences' Online Graduate Program Recruiter/Advisor, Mr. Timothy Kniseley, at 402.554.4121.

Mr. Kniseley can be reached by email at tkniseley@unomaha.edu.

If you've been admitted to the program, you should also contact the MA in Critical and Creative Thinking office to set up your initial advising appointment.
