A Diverse Community Resource
The Department of Biology envisions our preserves to be a significant, university-level resource with a strong focus on research and education in biology while also serving as an important multi-disciplinary, university- and community-wide resource for diverse activities.
We envision these diverse activities to involve complementary ventures working cooperatively to be mutually beneficial while maintaining the core assets of our preserves, principal among which are The Barn at Glacier Creek, the preserve's research and education facility, and the nature preserves themselves, which serve as the common thread among multiple preserve activities.
