Scholarship Spotlight: Mildred Taylor Meyer Completion Scholarship

The College of Arts & Sciences Mildred Taylor Meyer Completion Scholarship assists undergraduate students who, due to unexpected or exceptional circumstances, need additional financial support to complete their final graduation requirements. Students are strongly requested to have a current FAFSA on file to be considered for federal financial aid. Students who are not eligible for federal financial aid are still eligible for other forms of support.
Eligibility & Scholarship Amount
To be eligible for the Cross the Finish Line Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled as an undergraduate pursuing any major in the College of Arts & Sciences
- Have completed more than 75 hours
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8
Preference may be given to those who:
- Have demonstrated financial need and those
- Are a graduate from an Omaha Public High School (OPS)
Amount:
Awards for full-time students (i.e., minimum 12 hours/semester undergraduate) will be for up to $1,000 per year. Awards for part-time students will be at a lesser amount. Recipients may receive other scholarships, but the total awarded (not counting need-based aid) cannot exceed tuition, fees, and books.
Apply:
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are generally reviewed in June/July for the fall semester, December/January for the spring semester, and April/May for the summer sessions.
Funds are limited and not all applicants will receive an award, so early application is encouraged.
