Biography
Dr. Cenci is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics of the University at Nebraska at Omaha. He earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2021, where he also completed the Delta Certificate in Teaching and Learning. At UNO, Dr. Cenci teaches intermediate microeconomics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His main research interests are migration, labor mobility, and rural development. Dr. Cenci grew up on a farm in central Brazil and worked for many years in his family’s farming business before transitioning to academia. He is involved in several initiatives to support inclusive and accessible education in the US and Brazil.

Service Summary
Dr. Cenci is a long-time supporter of Junior Achievement in his hometown of Brasília, Brazil, an organization that promotes entrepreneurship and financial literacy for youth. While living in Madison, WI, he volunteered with several organizations that promote inclusive and accessible education. Currently, he is supporting efforts to adapt open-access instructional material for economic education in Brazil and translate it to Portuguese.
