Quick Facts about the Latino Population
The objective of this Quick Facts series is to periodically provide those interested with a snapshot of several aspects of the Latino population using data publicly available from the American Community Survey and other relevant data sources. This series will present the characteristics of our community in the State of Nebraska, the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area, Douglas County and the City of Omaha, and South Omaha.
Main Characteristics of the Latino Population
This series describes four aspects of the Latino population. First, the composition of this population in terms of age and the proportion of males and females. Second, presents the racial self-identification of those who also identify as Latinos. Third, the immigration characteristics of this population include main regions and countries of birth.
