Biography
Dr. Yanssel Garcia started a position as an assistant professor at UNO in the Fall of 2021. He received his PhD and MA from the University of Rochester and his BA from Florida International University. His academic work has been largely focused on consciousness, specifically in making sense of consciousness from within a physicalist framework. In addition to his work in philosophy of mind, Dr. Garcia is interested in the metaphysics of time and properties.
