Austin C. Doctor is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is also a member of the executive committee for the National Counterterrorism Innovation, Technology, and Education Center, a DHS Center of Excellence.Education

Research
Dr. Doctor studies terrorism and political violence, armed conflict, and political instability with a focus on the region of sub-Saharan Africa. His current projects investigate topics relating to militant leadership, insurgent operations and tactics, foreign fighters, and electoral violence. His work is published in numerous academic journals, including International Studies Quarterly, the Journal of Conflict Resolution, Terrorism and Political Violence, Civil Wars, the Journal of Global Security Studies, and Parameters.Courses Taught
