Why Minor in Political Science?
As a complement to a major in a different discipline, the Political Science minor helps you become an effective and politically active citizen and leader. You'll learn to process the endless flow of ideas, rhetoric and data that are an inescapable feature of the information age. By polishing valuable skills in analysis, communication, research, and writing, political science classes challenge students to think independently, with an informed awareness of current affairs and tolerance for other points of view.
Our minor can be particularly relevant for students majoring in:
- Latino/Latin American Studies
- Communications
- Criminal Justice
- Economics
- Finance
- History
- Philosophy
- Sociology
- Social Work
- Spanish
- Teacher Education
