Program Overview
The Social/Personality Psychology faculty offer courses and research training, which leads to a Master of Arts degree. Faculty members have expertise in organizational behavior, social justice, group processes, attitudes, stereotyping and prejudice, social cognition, as well as statistics and research design.
Our primary goal is to prepare students for doctoral studies. Ample laboratory space is available to faculty and students for both group and individual-subject research. Excellent computer facilities and a large research library are also available.
Curriculum
A 30-hour research-oriented curriculum includes the following courses:
- Proseminar in Social Psychology
- Proseminar in Personality Psychology
- Social and Personality Development
- Statistics I & II (Multiple Regression & ANOVA)
- Electives

- One official copy of transcripts for ALL institutions previously attended
- Due to COVID-19, the reporting of GRE scores is OPTIONAL for those applying to our programs. All applications will be reviewed whether or not GRE scores are included.
- Minimum GPA of at least 2.7 in undergraduate courses related to proposed major
- Application Fee
- If English is not the language of nurture, official test scores from the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE exam are required
- 550 for paper-based (pBT) TOEFL
- 80 for internet-based (iBT) TOEFL
- 6.5 on the IELTS
- or 53 on the PTE
