Corrine Chen

Biography

Corrine Chen is an Instructor in Management and Supply Chain Management at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her research focuses on Lean management, sustainable procurement, organizational change, and management education. She brings more than a decade of industry experience in procurement and strategic sourcing and integrates this experience into her teaching through case analysis, industry-based projects, and applied learning. Her work connects academic research, management education, and supply chain practice.

Teaching Interests

My teaching interests include operations management, supply chain management, procurement and strategic sourcing, logistics, Lean management, and global supply chains. I emphasize experiential learning, case-based analysis, industry projects, and evidence-based decision-making to connect academic concepts with real-world supply chain and operational challenges.

Research Interests

Lean management and operational improvement; sustainable procurement and supply chain capability; organizational change and adaptation; decision-making under resource constraints; management and supply chain education.

Service Summary

Corrine serves on the University Committee for the Advancement of Teaching (UCAT) and the University Committee on Research and Creative Activity (UCRCA) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Through these university-level service roles, she contributes to initiatives that support teaching excellence, pedagogical innovation, faculty research, and creative activity.
