General Information
Biography
After earning my Ph.D. in Economics from Kansas State University in 2012, I began my academic career with full-time faculty positions at Colgate University, Sam Houston State University, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In the summer of 2022, I left academia and worked as a senior data scientist at Zeenk, a statistical analyst at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, and most recently, a quantitative analyst at Farm Credit Services of America. I returned to the University of Nebraska at Omaha as an assistant professor of economics in Fall 2025, where my research focuses on applied microeconomics, including conflict theory and the Chinese economy. I am also interested in exploring behavioral economics and machine learning/AI, and I enjoy engaging students in research projects.
