Gail L. DeBoer - Inducted in 2012
As president and CEO, Gail DeBoer oversees the largest credit union in Nebraska with a staff of over 200 people in 19 locations serving eight counties. President since 2007, DeBoer has helped the organization grow from $312 million to over $560 million in total assets.
DeBoer has a BSBA in accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and an MBA from Bellevue University. She has completed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and is a Leadership Omaha graduate.
She is a member of the Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC), National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU), Credit Union National Association (CUNA), Credit Union Executive Society (CUES), and American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC). DeBoer sits on the Board of Trustees for the Omaha Ethics Alliance and the Board of Directors for the Institute for Career Advancement Needs (ICAN).
DeBoer was named 2007 “National Boss of the Year” by iBusinesschannel.com and received the Credit Union Executive Society Rising 100 Award. She was named a “55th Wing Wingman” in 2008. She was also selected to attend the 57th Annual National Security Forum at the Air War College, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. In 2010, DeBoer was selected as a member of the Greater Omaha Chamber’s Board of Directors.
In 2011, she received NAFCU’s CEO of the Year Award and was named Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce Business “Leader of the Year.” In 2012, DeBoer was selected to serve as a member on the National Advisory Board of UNO’s College of Business Administration.
