Josette Gordon-Simet - Inducted in 2016
After earning an Executive MBA in 2012, Dr. Gordon- Simet successfully transitioned into a healthcare management role, serving as a medical director since 2013 for CHI Health Clinic Advanced Practice Clinicians, Corporate and Retail Clinics, and the Virtual Resource Center.
As a medical director, Dr. Gordon-Simet develops and implements practice guidelines, new patient services, quality processes, and contributes to business plans for various sites. She is also a physician champion for the Virtual Care Core Team, where she collaborates with clinic leadership to support the development of this clinical access point.
She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians and has served on the boards of Building Healthy Futures and Girls Inc. of Omaha. She served as a patient advocate on the Metropolitan Omaha Medical Society Board to reduce Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in Douglas County.
In June 2015, Dr. Gordon-Simet presented at the U.S. Integrated Healthcare Seminar in Dublin, Ireland on “Business Model Transition: Becoming an Accountable Care Organization.”
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Gordon-Simet earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia in 1999 and completed a family practice residency at NHS Clarkson Hospital in 2002. She joined Alegent Creighton Clinic in 2002.
