Sheri Hronek - Inducted in 1997
Sheri Hronek received a Bachelor of Science in journalism with distinction from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. While working fulltime, she returned to UNO to earn a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
After working for several corporations, Hronek branched out on her own. She started Hronek Associates in 1987 and quickly learned that "the only way to really learn to run a business is to run a business." Her company works with a variety of public and private clients in marketing planning, research and communication projects.
As a certified Premiere Fast Trac II instructor, Hronek has taught the 11-week Fast Trac II Business Plans course. She is currently chair of the executive committee, North Council, Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, and was presented Leadership Omaha Alumni Association's first lifetime membership in 1990, Hronek was named by Governor Ben Nelson as a charter member of the advisory board for Nebraska's Home-Based Business Association in 1992.
Her strong community involvement has also included Leadership Omaha's Alumni Association, Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Omaha 2000, Rotary, American Cancer Society and the UNO Women's Walk.
