In 1996, Mr. Olson was named Senior Portfolio Manager-Asia Pacific for Caisse de depot placement du Quebec, where he has been responsible for stock selection and country allocation throughout Asia. In this position, he also has built an active, internal Asia equity portfolio management operation. Mr. Olson, an Iowa native, began his professional career in 1982, managing the international portfolio for the Mutual of Omaha Management Company Equity. |
Since then, he has managed the international portfolio for the Retirement Equity Fund in New York City and has worked in Tokyo, creating an investment office to manage the Japanese equity portion of international portfolios for clients of the company's London and New York offices.
Prior to his current position, he also worked for Brown Brothers Harriman and Company.
