Richard W. Ramm - Inducted in 1994

Richard Ramm was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Central High School and the University of Nebraska at Omaha, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting in 1972.

After graduation, Mr. Ramm accepted employment with Coopers and Lybrand, a CPA firm, rising to the level of Audit Supervisor. In 1976, he joined Pamida as Assistant Controller and attained a steady progression of responsibilities with the company. In 1979, he was appointed Controller and received the title of Vice President-Controller in 1980.

He was appointed Vice President-Finance, Secretary and Treasurer in February, 1985, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in September that same year. In April, 1987, Mr. Ramm was elevated to his current position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer.

Mr. Ramm is also a Director of Pamida. Mr. Ramm has been involved with numerous civic and charitable organizations, primarily with the Nebraska Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. He is a past President of the Foundation and currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Mr. Ramm is married and the father of two children.
