Bernard W. Reznicek - Inducted in 1994
Bernard Reznicek is Chief Executive Officer of Boston Edison company and Chairman of the company's board of directors. He came to Boston Edison in 1987 as President and Chief Operating Officer from Omaha Public Power District in Omaha, Nebraska, where, since 1981, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer.
He has more than 30 years of Administrator 'experience in the utility industry in the areas of accounting, finance, employee relations and senior management. Mr. Reznicek holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Creighton University and an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is active in a number of professional, civic and community organizations in the Boston area as well as nationally.
Mr. Reznicek has a long and impressive list of boards and community services. Some of these include the boards of State Street Bank & Trust Company, Guarantee Mutual Life Company, Father Flanagan's Boys' Home and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation. He is a director of The Electric Transportation Coalition, Edison Electric Institute, the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies and the Electric Council of New England, and a member of the Challenge to Leadership Executive Committee.
Mr. Reznicek also serves on Northeastern University's Governing Board, the Board of Directors of the United Way, and on the Board of Trustees of the Boston Museum of Science.
