Natan Schwalb - Inducted in 2001
He enrolled in the Omaha University (now UNO) College of Business Administration and graduated in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1967, he earned his J.D. from the Creighton University School of Law.
Over the next three decades, Schwalb operated a real estate development business, which encompassed construction of new homes, town homes and apartments as well as property management of apartments and duplexes, To this day, Schwalb's work in Omaha is better known for his city infill than suburban development. In the last decade he has primarily developed multifamily structures in northwest Omaha. Today, he is the owner of Schwalb Realty.
As staunch supporters of UNO, Schwalb and his wife, Hannah, established endowed scholarship funds not only in CBA but also in the College of Arts and Sciences, providing financial assistance to students participating in UNO's Bethsaida Excavation project in northern Israel. Schwalb is currently involved in CBA's future planning for an expanded and upgraded real estate program.
He has also been an active volunteer throughout the years in Big Brothers Big Sisters, B'nai B'rith, Jewish Federation of Omaha, and Beth El Synagogue.
