Is there any work I have to do before the class starts?
Occasionally, you may need to do some pre-work before coming to class, you will receive a welcome email approximately 2 weeks prior to the beginning of your session. If any pre-work is required, it will be mentioned in this email.
Do I need to bring a laptop or any materials?
We will provide you with a course manual where you can take notes if you wish. If a class is on Zoom, you will need to use your personal laptop or desktop.
Where are classes held?
Unless otherwise noted, all classes are held at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, College of Business Administration, 6708 Pine Street, Suite 100, Omaha, NE 68182.
What is the deadline for registration?
We encourage you to register as early as possible as some courses fill quickly. To be considerate to our current registrants and instructors, we make our class go/no go decision 7 days prior to the class – if our courses do not have enough students registered, we will cancel/reschedule the class.
What is the difference between a certificate and a certification?
You will receive a certificate from the University of Nebraska Omaha College of Business for the courses that you are registered in. These courses are designed to provide you with career skills and prepare you for a specific function.
A certification is a recognized credential that confirms your ability in a particular area. It details a qualification, competence, or authority issued to an individual by a third party. Certifications are often offered through professional organizations and usually require passing an exam.
The Executive and Professional Development Program offers the PMP Exam Prep and the SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP Exam Prep courses. These courses prepare you to take the exam for that respective credential, once you pass the exam, you will receive a credential for that profession. (The exam is not a part of the course.)
