(PhD) Ben Wigert is the Lead Researcher for Gallup’s workplace management practice.  He assesses human capital management needs and designs performance optimization strategies for organizations across the world. Dr. Wigert is an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist and specializes in helping organizations improve their talent acquisition, development, engagement, and performance management programs. Dr. Wigert is the lead author of Re-Engineering Performance Management, Gallup’s evidence-based perspective on how to evolve performance management practices. He leads a cross-functional team tasked with studying the continually changing performance needs of organizations and building solutions to prepare organizations for the workplace of the future. Wigert has published work in a variety of applied psychology, business, and technology publications. Wigert has also served as a textbook editor and a reviewer for 5 academic journals. Wigert received his bachelor’s degree in psychology and human resource management from Hastings College. He received master’s degrees in industrial-organizational psychology and business administration, and a doctorate in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
