Frank L. Mansell - Inducted in 1998
This Omaha born native graduated from Omaha University in 1944, receiving a bachelors degree with Distinction. Mr. Mansell served in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1943-46 holding the rank of Lieutenant J.G.. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree with Distinction from Harvard University Graduate School of Business in 1948, where he was a George Baker Scholar.
In 1952 he joined Blyth and Company in New York where he held positions as Vice President, Director and President. He was elected Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Blyth Eastman Dillon and Company in 1972.
Mr. Mansell was elected Chairman of Blyth Eastman Paine Webber Incorporated in 1980, where he also served as CEO, Director of Patine Webber Group and Advisory Director of Paine Webber Incorporated until his full retirement in 1991.
In addition to his business duties, he also served as a Trustee of The Boy's Club on New York where he helped establish high school preparatory and college scholarship funds serving well over 100 boys annually. He is also the recipient of the Boy's Club of New York "Man behind the Boy" award in 1992. He has also served as Trustee of the University of Nebraska Foundation and a Governor of the United States Senior's Golf Association.
His generous gifts to the College of Business Administration established the Frank L. Mansell Scholarship program that provides financial support to full-time undergraduate students majoring in finance.
