Ann Lindley and Gene P. Spence - Inducted in 2005
Ann Lindley Spence is an Omaha native. She became a partner of Spencer Lindley Abstract and Title Co. in 1960, and was owner and CEO of Spence Title Services, Inc., from 1976 to 1992.
In 1986, the Lindley family celebrated 100 years in the abstract and title business. Ann Spence has served on several boards, including the City of Omaha Planning Board, Nebraska Committee for the Humanities Foundation, Nebraska Arts Council and Junior League of Omaha.
Since 1987, she has served on the board of directors for TierOne Bank, and currently serves on the advisory board for the Endowment for the Arts and Humanities.
Gene Spence served as CEO of Western Securities Company, an Omaha-based mortgage banking firm, and Fidelity National Title Company, a regional title insurance company. He was an Omaha Public Power District board member for 16 years and served as chairman for two terms.
Additionally, he was selected to be a member of the Young Presidents Organization, and has served on various local boards, recently completing his term as chairman of the Salvation Army board.
Gene Spence is a member of the Nebraska and American Bar Associations. The Spences have generously established the Ward Y. Lindley and Geo. T. Lindley Endowed Fund for Business Administration.
