Regardless of major, most students go on to work in or start their own organizations. A minor in Management & Leadership will provide non-business students to learn the core knowledge of the human side of organizations as well as develop a foundation of business management and leadership.
Learn to Lead Effectively
All organizations, large and small, have managers. They effectively lead, coordinate and communicate innovative solutions in all aspects of an organization. Managers are adaptable leaders with strong communication skills that enable their organizations to compete in the business world.
A multi-functional set of core courses will allow students to discover different areas of business and leadership such as organizational behavior, managing change, and project management that will help them succeed in managerial and leadership roles. This minor will refine the student's critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills in classes that use business case studies, experiential real-world business problems, service learning projects, and guest speakers who bring the "real world" into the classroom.
