Business Students Earn Top Honors at National Leadership Conference
Four CBA students attended the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference in Atlanta this summer to network and showcase their skills.

OMAHA – Four students from the University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Business Administration attended a leadership and career development conference in Atlanta this summer, bringing home several awards.
The Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference took place June 24-28, 2016. Phi Beta Lambda is the collegiate division of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) Inc., a student business organization with over 250,000 members nationally.
CBA students Mark Cliffton, Chris Dauel, Trevor Koger and John Murray attended the conference and took advantage of the opportunities to learn from keynote speakers, attend interactive workshops and network with more than 1,700 students from across the nation.
They also competed in several events against other future business leaders. Cliffton won first place in Personal Finance and received a $700 cash award. He also earned second place in Retail Management and a $400 cash award. Koger received sixth place in Contemporary Sports Issues, and Koger and Dauel as a team placed seventh in Business Sustainability.
The students visited many attractions in Atlanta, including the World of Coca-Cola, CNN, the Georgia Aquarium, Fernbank Museum of Natural History and the Atlanta Zoo.
