OMAHA – The University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Executive MBA program is launching a new program for alumni.
Offered at no cost, EMBA Elective Weekends will give alumni the opportunity to continue their lifelong pursuit of new knowledge, experiences and relationships by joining fellow alumni and current EMBA students for weekend intensives that cover some of the most in-demand and innovative topics in business today.
These special courses will be scheduled once or twice a semester during regular class hours on Fridays, 3–9 p.m., and Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Not only will participants learn something new through lectures, guest speakers, interactive class exercises and more, but they will also have the opportunity to network with other alumni and students.
The fall 2016 elective weekend features the popular Genius of Warren Buffett course, offering an in-depth look at the investment, management and business philosophies of Warren Buffett.
C-suite executives from Berkshire Hathaway companies visit the class to share their experiences and insights on business — including Sam Taylor, CEO of Oriental Trading Company; Don Wurster, CEO of National Indemnity Company; and Adrienne Fay, director of marketing and business sales at Borsheims.
