Mitra will be recognized at The Global Community for Academic Advising’s upcoming regional conference.
NACADA’s vision identifies effective academic advising at the core of student success, with a mission to be the premier global association for the development and dissemination of innovative theory, research, and practice of academic advising in higher education.
The NACADA Excellence in Advising award recognizes advisors who facilitate professional development activities, networking opportunities, leadership development, and member recruitment and service for their region. Region 6, for which Mitra won, includes Iowa, Manitoba, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Northwestern Territories, Saskatchewan, and South Dakota.
This isn’t the first award Mitra has received for excellence in student advising support. Mitra was previously awarded UNO Academic Advisor of the Year in 2019 after being nominated by students for her exceptional service to students, their colleagues, and the college.
We look forward to Mitra’s continued accomplishments as a result of her devotion to excellence in advising. Congratulations, Annesha!
