The Legal Studies (LEST) concentration within the UNO College of Business Administration’s (CBA) BSBA program is growing; will you grow with it? This option isn’t just for those planning to attend law school. It’s also a great choice for those planning careers in industries that rely heavily on laws and regulations, including: financial planning, real estate management, human resources, compliance, contract drafting and management, corporate governance, healthcare administration, international business, and marketing.
One LEST student recently landed a position with a large law firm in Omaha as a Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist. Not only have they achieved a successful and lucrative career, but they’re able to constantly apply and use foundational skills learned during their Legal Studies coursework.
And if you are planning on attending law school, the LEST concentration is an ideal training ground that also gives you exposure to law-related programs, events, and networks within the Omaha area.
From classes like Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion for Risk Managers, to Real Estate Law, you can find your place in LEST. Learn more on the concentration website, or reach out to Professor Destynie Sewell, JD, MBA, with questions at dsewell@unomaha.edu.
