Biography
Andy Hall is a professional bassist performing on both the double bass and bass guitar. He is a native of Lincoln, NE. Versatility is the key to his success playing with a wide variety of groups and in many different styles.
Hall is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. He is currently the jazz bass instructor at The University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Andy spends time teaching at jazz workshops, jazz camps, artist-in-residence programs and acts as an adjudicator at jazz festivals. Hall has performed concerts and taught seminars in Japan, Germany, Italy and Denmark.
For the past 38 years Andy has worker with a host of performers. His past performance credits include apparances with Jay McShann, Chuck Berry, The Four Lads, The Four Freshman, Mose Allison, Ed Shaughnessy, Russell Malone, Doc Severinson, Freddie Hubbard, Slide Hampton, Hubert Laws, Ritchie Cole, Bob Mintzer, The Count Basie Orchestra, Rosemary Clooney, Bernadette Peters, Marilyn Maye, Peter Nero, Don Menza, Pete Christlieb and numerous others.
