Biography
Hadley Heavin has been on the UNO part-time faculty since 1982 and has also taught at College of St. Mary and Creighton University. He received his bachelor's degree from Southwest Missouri State University and the Master of Music degree in guitar performance from the University of Denver. Among his teachers has been the famous Spanish guitarist, Segundo Pastor with whom he studied periodically for almost twenty years. These studies with Pastor included an extended residency in Madrid.
Heavin has performed guitar recitals and master classes throughout the United States as well as many international performances. He has been a member of the Nebraska Arts Council Touring Program for over twenty years. He has received accolades from fellow guitarists and critics, some of which are:
