Located in the historic Arts and Sciences Hall, the School of Communication’s main office, classrooms, and computer labs offer hands-on experiences with the latest industry tools.

Our faculty annually win college and university awards for their teaching and research, published in major academic journals, and author acclaimed books.
Journalism and media communication students produce a weekly news program from the studios of UNO Television and work on-air and behind the scenes at MavRadio, our student-run radio station.
The public relations and advertising capstone classes operate as an agency under the banner of Capstone Communication providing public relations and promotional services for non-profit clients on a pro-bono basis. The journalism and media communication capstone classes produce The Omaha News.
