Nebraska Broadcasting Awards

The School of Communication accumulated six Nebraska Broadcast Association Pinnacle Awards at its annual state-wide convention and awards banquet recently. Since 1958, the NBA has recognized the state’s top radio and television stories to encourage and recognize excellence in broadcasting. This year, UNO Journalism and Media Communication students earned six gold place awards in five of the six radio/television categories.

MavRadio is a student-run radio station that broadcasts from the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha. It is located in CPACS 106 B. The station can be heard on 90.7 HD-2, the TuneIn or www.MavRadio.FM.The Omaha News streams live every Wednesday at 4 p.m. on YouTube, Facebook and The Knowledge Network (TKN) during the academic year.
