The Junior Investigators each have a scientific mentor and an external consultant. The two-tiered mentoring process provides research, scientific expertise, and clinical expertise for the JI's to set short and long-term research goals.
The mentor provides a bridge between the junior investigator’s laboratory work and clinical science and practice. The mentors also promote the training and career development of our junior investigators by guiding them to develop innovative methods and technologies to strengthen translational research.
