Biography
Dr.. Stacy is Professor of Health Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He has developed and taught a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses at UNO, the University of Virginia, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His Bachelor of Art's Degree is in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (1972) from Morehead State University in Morehead Kentucky. He has a Master of Public Health (1974) from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and a Doctorate in Health Education (1986) from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He worked in public health in North Carolina and Kentucky from 1974 to 1981. He has published 27articles and has written 22 grants that have been funded for more than $1 million. His primary professional interests include health education program planning and evaluation and application of health behavior principles and theories. He has served in leadership positions in numerous coalitions in Omaha including the Lead Safe Omaha Coalition, the Omaha Asthma Alliance, Operation Stroke, the Omaha Immunization Task Force, Omaha Healthy Start, and the Metropolitan Omaha Tobacco Action Coalition. He has also chaired and served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society of Nebraska
