The Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders is dedicated to the vitality of scholarly activity. In serving an area that encompasses a large metropolitan center as well as suburban and rural communities, UNO benefits from diverse intellectual approaches found on campus and in those communities. Both undergraduate and graduate students participate in research projects and other activities led by faculty committed to excellence in research and creative activity. In their programs, students acquire the knowledge and skills that prepare them to be successful leaders during and after their time at UNO.
