What should I bring?
Pitchers are encouraged to bring their hat, glove, and any equipment needed to warm up such as elastic tubing or plyocare balls.
What should I wear?
We kindly ask that pitchers wear compression shorts underneath their shortest pair of athletic shorts as well as a hat and baseball glove. While we prefer pitchers to throw shirtless to allow for the most accurate data to be captured, pitchers can always opt-out and throw in their tightest fitting shirt. It is important for the markers we place on each pitcher’s body to be on the skin or as close to it as possible to identify where the underlying bones are located. Loose-fitting shirts/clothing move differently than the movement of the underlying bones, thus why we request this dress code.
Should I wear cleats?
We kindly ask that all pitchers wear flat-bottomed athletic shoes and not cleats while throwing from our pitching mound.
How long does a typical evaluation last?
Our pitching evaluations typically last one hour.
Will I receive any exercises or drills to work on afterwards?
While optional, we do highly encourage pitchers, parents, coaches, etc. to meet with our research team a few days after receiving an evaluation. This meeting can be done virtually or in-person, and involves in-depth analysis of what your data means and how to get started on making improvements.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payments may be cash or check (made out to the University of Nebraska Omaha) provided at the time of evaluation.
