The Computer Science Department at University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites your school's participation in an upcoming event at the Peter Kiewit Institute of Information Science, Technology and Engineering (PKI) at the UNO's Pacific campus on Saturday, February 7, 2015.
As part of our efforts to broaden K-12 computer science education, we invite your teachers in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), and other STEM-related areas to attend a one-day workshop on Infusing Mobile Platforms Applied Research to Teaching (IMPART) – a part of the NSF funded Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) program at UNO. In this workshop, participants in our six-week immersive RET summer project will present their development of CS and IT related course modules and lesson materials, and share their experiences in delivering these modules in their classrooms. Teachers who wish to participate in this workshop should register at http://RET.ist.unomaha.edu. Participating teachers will receive $250 stipend and 8 professional development hours.
