Call for Panels, Workshops & Tutorials Details
On behalf of the ISCRAM 2023 Conference Committee, we take great pleasure in inviting you to submit a proposal to host a workshop and/or tutorial. We hope to welcome you to the Annual ISCRAM 2023 conference in Omaha, NE (USA). We invite you consider showcasing your work to a small, focused group of ISCRAM researchers and practitioners while enjoying Omaha hospitality.
DETAILED CALL FOR PANELS, WORKSHOPS & TUTORIALS
Workshops & Tutorials
The aim of the workshops and tutorials is to allow researchers, technologists, practitioners, and funding agency representatives, to interact, learn, and discuss specific, emerging topics for crisis management, including methodologies, software, and other related technologies.
Potential contributions include the following (we also welcome other innovative ideas to make an engaging workshop experience for the attendees):

Panels
Panels allow experts to discuss a current topic of interest in research and practice of crisis response and management. Panel organizers are responsible for selecting appropriate panelists to participate. A panel will normally have at most four panelists including the organizer. Panel submissions should include a list of panelists, their affiliations, a description of the topics, and a brief position statement from each panelist (if possible). All panelists are expected to attend the conference and participate in the panel. Panel proposals are limited to two pages and will be published in the conference proceedings.
Planning and Preparations
- If possible, it is recommended to relate the panel, workshop or tutorials to the overall theme of this year’s ISCRAM: “Building Humanitarian Technologies for our Emerging Future + Building Resilient Societies” if relevant.
- Plan for a 2-3 hours physical workshop, tutorials up to 4-5 hours, and poanels for an hour. Remember breaks for the longer sessions!
- After acceptance for woprkshops/tutorials: Prepare a webpage for promoting your workshop/tutorial and providing more information for potential attendees.
- A maximum 500 words extended abstract for the workshop/tutorial will be included in the proceedings.
- The panel abstract (300 words) will be included in the proceedings.
Submission
Please fill out the Workshop/Tutorial Proposal Template and submit it through EasyChair using the "Submit Workshop/Tutorial" button on the right of this page. Panel proposals can use the same template for the header portion of the proposal.

- Panel/Workshop/Tutorial acceptance: March 7th, 2023
- Workshop/Tutorial announcement (with url to workshop webpage) on ISCRAM 2023 website: March 15th, 2023
