About MWAIS
The Midwest United States Association for Information Systems (MWAIS) Conference occurs annually in May. The 2022 conference will take place in person on May 16 & 17, 2022 in Omaha, NE and is hosted by the University of Nebraska Omaha's College of Information Science & Technology. The conference will run all day Monday and Wednesday with a pre-conference welcome social on Sunday evening.
The MWAIS mission is "to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge among scholars and professionals in the Midwest US engaged in the development, management, and use of information and communications systems and technology." Established in 2006, MWAIS is a chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). The states served by this Chapter include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Historically this chapter conference has attracted authors consisting of CS/MIS/IT faculty, professionals, as well as a number of Ph.D. students. Proceedings of the conferences are included in the AIS digital library.
