This past semester, the College of IS&T launched a pilot program designed to extend education beyond the classroom, and the results were positive.

Matt Hale, Ph.D.; Mahadevan Subramaniam, Ph.D.; Xin Zhong, Ph.D.; and Christine Toh, Ph.D.; all received funding. This is made possible by the generous support of the Weitz Innovation and Excellence Fund.

Legacy Academia Gaming (LAG) is a non-profit Esports organization based in Omaha, Nebraska. Founded by University of Nebraska at Omaha alumni, LAG emerged from the collegiate Esports scene and now focuses on creating premier leagues and tournaments for high school players, bridging the gap between high school and collegiate Esports.
