Biography
Gargi Nandy is currently a first year Ph.D. student in Computing & Information Science at UNO and her research interests lie at the intersection of HCI and AI/ML, with a focus on designing and developing intelligent systems that are more natural and intuitive to use.
In particular, she is interested in using AI/ML to improve the usability of graphical user interfaces (GUIs), to develop more effective natural language interfaces (NLIs), and to create new forms of human-computer interaction in the form AI chatbots that are more engaging and immersive.
She is currently working under Dr. Chun-Hua Tsai on AI chat bot project. Gargi holds a master’s degree in Management Information System from University of Nebraska at Omaha.
