The history of SIGITE
The 21st annual ACM SIGITE Conference on Information Technology Education occurs every year in October. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020 the conference will take place virtually on October 7th – 9th and is hosted by University of Nebraska at Omaha, Nebraska (USA). The conference will run all day Thursday and Friday with post-conference events occurring on Saturday morning (as needed).
Since 2018, the SIGITE conference has included both education and research tracks. Selected papers for the SIGITE conference address issues around teaching and learning (pedagogy) of IT, implementations and applications of IT, and IT research. Authors consist of IT faculty, professionals, as well as graduate and undergraduate students. Proceedings of the conferences are included in the ACM digital library.
