The Russell C. Ross Memorial Aviation Scholarship was created to commemorate the life of Russell C. Ross.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible for this scholarship:
- Candidates shall be an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Aviation at the Aviation Institute, College of Public Affairs & Community Service, University of Nebraska at Omaha.
- Cumulative 3.0 or higher GPA
- Candidates must be enrolled in the current semester at UNO, AND the Summer or Fall semesters
About Russell C. Ross
The Russell C. Ross Memorial Aviation Scholarship was created to commemorate the life of Russell C. Ross. He began his flying career at the young age of 14 and had been flying for more than 62 years. Ross was nominated for the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award, celebrating his more than 50 years of accident-free flying. Aviation was Mr. Ross’s passion and he was truly dedicated to the activity.
