The Aviation Institute works with airlines, charter providers, and corporate flight departments to provide the best employment opportunities for our students.
The University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Aviation Institute is proud to offer its students exclusive career opportunities through formal agreements with top regional airlines, including Envoy Air, Republic Airways, and Mesa Airlines. Additionally, UNO is one of only five universities to participate in Southwest Airlines' prestigious Destination 225 program, providing students a direct pathway to a career with Southwest.
In 2022, UNO's Aviation Institute expanded its partnerships further by joining United Airlines' Aviate program, giving students a direct route to becoming a United pilot. Our collaboration with Endeavor Air also enhances the career options available to our students, ensuring they have access to some of the best opportunities in the aviation industry. Furthermore, the Aviation Institute maintains a strong relationship with Jet Linx Aviation, offering students job opportunities both in flight operations and administrative roles.
These partnerships allow students to engage with these programs while still pursuing their studies. Upon graduation and completion of their ATP, students can seamlessly transition into the next stages of the hiring process with these esteemed airlines.
