Professional Experience and Expertise
Dr. Carbaugh received her Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska in 2013, with areas of specialization in institutional corrections, research methods, and quantitative statistics.
She led the Research Division for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services for nearly eight years and is currently the Data Administrator for Douglas County, Nebraska’s Juvenile Justice Reform Initiative.
In this role, she is responsible for grant writing; monitoring trends in the juvenile justice population, particularly within the realms of detention and formal diversion; and collaborating with community partners to fill gaps in the continuum of prevention, early intervention, and reentry programs and services for youth and families in Douglas County.
